I know, I know, we haven't set up the mailing lists we said we were going to get set up at the beginning of the semester. But really, we're closer to having them done. They even exist. In fact, if you'd like to check that they exist, you can subscribe to them. (i.e., send email to majordomo @ swil.org with "subscribe swilnews" and/or "subscribe events" in the body of the message. We owe you an email about that, too.) Anyway, summary of what's going on in the next week, in case you couldn't extract it from SWILnews, follows. ~ Venti This Week in SWIL #4 (2-14-03) Tonight's Saturday Night SWIL is Violent Games (for Valentine's Day). Red Light Green Light and Wink in ML lounge, 9 pm. Wear long sleeves, socks, long pants. (Hmm... if you live on campus, you should leave in the next 5 minutes or so...) NEXT WEEK's Saturday Night SWIL is Gaming in Middlish Tarble, due to the fact that everyone else will be at the English-Scottish Ball in Upper Tarble. Gaming will start around 7; the ball begins at 8. The deadline for t-shirt submissions was set for Saturday, March 20th. Bring submissions to that meeting, or email them to presidents @ swil.org. Voting will take place the following Saturday in meeting, March 27th. We're going to try to put them online so non-local people can vote by email before the 27th. The real, final deadline for BEM submissions is still February 29th. The Kegger is having dubious thoughts about its date. It's probably still on February 28th, but if we can't get space, it might be in Olde Club, and if we really can't get space, it might be on April 23 or 24. Science Fiction Discussion Table will meet again this Tuesday, at 5:30, upstairs Sharples. This week's topic is A.I. (the concept, not the movie). Other (less official) happenings: Andrew is showing 10th Kingdom (part II) on Sunday, February 15th in Science Center 101.
