Some large number (possibly 10,000) of Swarthmore students arrived to whack us with rolled-up newspapers and run screaming through the campus. Apart from some relatively minor incidents, the whole thing went off quite smoothly, thanks to our dear Hunt organizer Lesley Tsina (applause). The rubber pterodactyl for most gold collected went to Morgan Phillips, and our B(r)ad personally walked away with two boxes of Andes Candies for finding the pterodactyl eggs. The article in the Phoenix was greatly appreciated (thanks Ben!), and only contained five or six errors. (Jed Hartman and Jay Scott, if you'd like to see your name in print grab a Phoenix for October 29th!) Suggestions for next year's hunt can be sent to ME, who will compile them, review them, and in all likelihood lose them. We also had our Hallowe'en party on Saturday in Sharples 3, which JimMosk attended in Bond. Colin introduced a great new game called "Mafia" which manages to combine probability theory with social dynamics and backstabbing. In addition, Jeremy the Younger wrote a bunch of names on our backs which none of us had heard of. Afterwards, we got to play Magic: the Gathering. Plus, we laughed at Geoff a lot. All in all, a good time. Thank you, Andrea! Pumpkin Carolling was, unfortunately, called on account of rain. This was to be expected, since it was, after all, raining. Kudos to Larry, who has finally fulfilled his role as VP in charge of Moist Towelettes. At Saturday's meeting, he came laden with many moist towelettes, only some of which were dry. Keep up the good work, Larry! See The Prisoner on Saturday. Now without scan lines! (guaranteed) There are four of us currently signed up to go to PhilCon (myself, Kendra, Don Lehr and Elizabeth Christian). (We all should have received our registration in the mail today...) Others are welcome to come along, if they're willing to pay $35 at the door. Our buddies Greg Frost and Judith Moffat will be there...
