Half a Late SWILnews #7 is better than none.... (for the weeks of October 23 - November 5, 1988.) EVENTS AND INFORMATION: The Tenth Anniversary Reunion has come and gone; a good time was had by most, if not all. Unfortunately, due to a family emergency, Michael Swanwick was unable to come and speak; however, he's still interested in coming at some future point. More news as it develops. This gives you all another chance to go read _Vacuum Flowers_ and _In the Drift_. There's still time to correct or add to the t-shirt ordering list, which is posted on the SWIL board. I think there's also still time to order previous years' shirts, which are available in any color. Talk to Julie for details. PhilCon takes place this weekend. Registration at the door is, I believe, $20. There will be a SWIL van making semi-regular trips (see SWIL board for details), but if you'd rather just stay there, you can stay with Jed Shumsky and Shoshanna Green in their room for $10 per night. We tentatively decided last semester to co-sponsor _Dr. Strangelove_ with Film Society next semester. If anyone objects to this, talk to me or come to the SWIL meeting on Saturday. The SWIL Halloween party will take place on Saturday, November 12. Talk to Julie Love, Rick Post, or Deborah Holtzman for more details. Cost is $2 in advance, or $2.50 at the door, since it's a "private" party. Saturday or thereabouts will also determine future topics for the sf discussion table. Chris Cobb is in charge. ATTENDANCE: The attendance lists for the two meetings over break are on the SWIL board. "There is ... another." Jed II: the sequel Half a Late SWILnews #7 is better than none....
