SWILnews Volume 7 No. 8 November n<14, 1984 Greetings loyal subjects. Present at last week's meeting were inner- party members: Ruth and her puck, John Beale, The Niffleheimer, David Coates; Perry, Sherry, Irene, Matt Katinsky, Alison, The Hindmost, Dan Levi, Jim Moskowitz, Kevin Murphy, Esther, Julie Love, Shane Rau, Gavin, Jack, Steve Ward, Heather, the Weyrleaders, and Jay; and outer-party members: Andrew Harker, David VanStone, Debby Bacharach, and Steve Potthoff. Our secret police (whose spies are everywhere) confiscated some suhversive and revolutionary literature and kindly informed your benevolent Weyrleaders. In order to preserve the balance of power, we were forced to take drastic action irlcluding searching all suspicious characters, seizing all weapons, and requiring a loyalty oath. The Revolutionary Faction has been summarily dealt with. In their voluntary confessions they have admitted the error of their ways. _Dune_ has been postponed due to terrible special effects, et al, and has been sent back for re-editing. There is still hope that the final product might be tolerable, but not much. See Heather and Alison for more depressing information. PHILCON is this weekend if anyone is interested. Directions and other information are posted on the SWILboard. _Fahrenheit_451_ was a well attended success. Over 150 people were counted and most of them were not even SWIL!
