No. 3/September n>29/ .tm 3 .bm 2 .sm 3 .p 5 1 .sp 1 NEXT MEETING IS SUNDAY AT HIGH NOON IN SHARPLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! temporarily changed from saturday because of the Jewish holiday. Hello everyone! You've all certainly done a good Job of attending meetings. This week had a record attendence of 35 somewhat sentient beings. Present were Voting Non-Members: Irene Ghatt, Shoshanna Green, Sherry Hartenstine, Alison Knapp, Dan Levi, Scott Moore, Esther Oey, Gavin Schnitzler, Kate Wilhelm (aka Jay Scott), Jed Shumsky, Jack Sutherland, Barbara Weene, and Heather Whipple; Newly Made Voting Non-Members: Ruth Alfasso, John Beale, Mike Casper, David Coates, Eric Cohen, Jim Crawford, Perry Deess, Eric Knapp, Kevin Murphy, Claudia Sorsby, and Steve Ward. Members who will become non-members if they attend the next meeting: Gabe Hutter, Mike Jones, Julie Patrick, and Robert Wolff; and Members: Tim Berger, John Jeweler, Jack Kliever, Ethan Knapp, Andy McKinley, Shane Rau, Chris Sparno, and the Board of Managers, who tried to crash the meeting. Special notice to all members who have not attended a meeting yet: Unless y0u eitheir attend the next meeting or notify me or Shoshanna, your name will be removed from our mailing list. We are very sorry but we cannot physically spool and stuff 92 SWILnewses. A copy of the latest news will be posted on the SWILboard and anyone who subsequently attends a meeting will be returned to the list. Congratulations to the newly made non-members. You now have voting, computer, and title privileges. You also have the option of declaring yourself non-sentient for an indeterminant amount of time. Jim Crawford has apparently already done so by allowing himself to be elected Treasurer. Eric Knapp's title is "The Hindmost" and Gabe Hutter's title is "The Official SWIL Avenger". Beware. Jim reports that we will indeed receive our budget from our much revered Budget Committee (congrats to Vinnie on so being appointed) and that the Pteradactyl hunt will be financed somehow. Plans will be made by Perry and the Hindmost (sounds like a punk rock band). By the way a suggestion was made that a list of avid Weregamers be created along. with what games they have available to play; and so begins the Wargames club. Lists are a good idea--anyone with the ability or inclination should consider typing their list of sf books into the SWIL account for lending purposes. Another idea, (gasp! two in one SWILnews!), we can do something sf related besides organizational at meetings so for next meeting let's rate, say, the last sf book that we read, and recommend it (or not) to each other. Sounds good? I hope so. .sk 2 .///Ski the Hellers!/ .///Jed + Shoshanna/
