SWIL NEWS Volume 6, Number 13 (!) December n<17, 1983 We are not the Dynamic Duo. Neither of us wears long underwear like Batman and Robin; at least, not in public. Suggestions for an official title are hereby solicited. In attendance last time were the presidents old and new, Alison Knapp, Dan Levi, Sherry, Irene, Matt Wall, and Jay Scott. Esther Oey dropped by to say hello. The main topic of discussion was proposals to Cooper Foundation for next year's speaker. Proposals were Fred Pohl, Vonda McIntyre, Anne McCaffrey, Gene Wolfe, Marion Zimmer Bradley, Samuel Delany, Donald A. Wollheim, Leonard Nimoy, and Harlan Ellison. With any luck, letters will be written to these people over vacation. The main event, however, was an impromptu striptease by Matt, which was greatly appreciated. Matt has promised to talk to Film Society next semester about laundering our movie co-sponsoring money through them. He will make a great treasurer. But he'd better remember his place. We haven't forgotten that dissenting vote. Amidst a storm of protest, it was agreed to remove the offending "SWAPA" from the T-shirt design. (Probably with a pooper-scooper.) The lines in the word "SWIL" will be thickened as well, for better reproduction. Please write things over break for _BEM_! ********* SWIL NOTICES ************** _____________________________________ I.
