Anybody who wants to drop in and look them over is very welcome. There was some disorganized conversation about a SWIL radio program - getting a good pilot, getting two good pilots, using filler commercials, music etc. One interesting premise is Swats in Space. Ideas flew thickly, like chunky peanut butter. Sylvia and David will be story editors. Writers please contact them. We all abruptly rose and went home. minutes for meeting of 9/21/80 Name call. Note of apology: As mentioned above, Our Charismatic and Fearless Leader is out, of town this weekend, although he will be back for the meeting this Sunday. Therefore I can take all the blame credit for this issue. (except for the name, there the blame is spread equally between the two of us.) Please direct all.. complaints (and complements, if any) to me. Thanks, Jennie Jacobson Most Electable. Just so you'll all have a copy even if the student handbook never gets put out: a long time ago on a campus far, far away there began SWIL; and when they said entropy always increases, boy, were they right. (Now we begin our normal paragraph) SWIL is a body of anthropomorphic globules dedi- cated to the proposition that all fiction is not created equal; science fiction and fantasy are better. We think. Therefore we are. Each week we unite to reaffirm our existence. Meetings are called to disorder each Sunday by Tina (The Hammer) Anderson. We discuss important questions concerning Truth, God, Death and Liz's meatloaf. Like other cults, we also engage in ritual activities such as readings and filksings and Sylvia forth (we have no Sallys) to go to science fiction conventions and present movies. Occasionally from the event horizon of our collective soul, there emerges Unicorn Star, our timeless semi-annual publication. Requirements for voting non-membership are sentience and attendance at three consecu- tive meetings. Membership is somewhat easier to obtain. (sentience is not obligatory.) Interested humans contact Jim Huang (fearless and charasmatic leader, enlightened despot) or Alice Macneal (keeper of the keys to the dungeon). Extraterrestials contact Bruce Freedburg (interpreter of alien documents) in writing. Let there be SWIL
